Vale Reds Football Club was established 7 years ago to give the opportunity for girls to play football locally. The club currently provides football coaching and matches for girls from ages 10 to 14 years old. All home matches and fair weather training take place on the pitches at Fairford Leys on Saturday mornings and from October to March midweek Indoor Training at Mandeville and Grange Schools on Wednesday evenings.
Vale Reds are always looking for new players to join the teams and would welcome any interested girls to come along to training. It does not matter if they have never played football before as anyone, of any ability, is welcome and the emphasis is on enjoyment.
Vale Reds FC is an FA Charter Standard club playing in the Bucks League. All the coaches hold Level 1 or Level 2 coaching qualifications and CRB certificates. In previous seasons some players have moved on to play for MK Dons, Tottenham Ladies and the Berks & Bucks County PDC Teams. Last season just completed both the U12 and U13 team won their respective leagues and the U15 team had some notable successes.
This season (2012-13) we will have Three (3) no. teams competing in the Bucks Girls Football League at the U12, U13 and U14 age groups.
Vale Reds FC encourages all girls to develop their skills, knowledge of the game and playing potential, but there is always a great team spirit throughout the club and the emphasis is on having fun.
Girl’s football is the fastest growing sport in the UK and Vale Reds FC aim to encourage young people to take exercise, eat healthily and enjoy themselves. According to BUPA - an excellent aerobic exercise, football can have positive effects on how you feel. It can improve your mood and raise self-esteem.
